Today’s ‘Inspiring people, inspiring stories’ blog is about my good friend Rachael.
Ever since meeting Rachael at University she has always been an inspiration to me, being full of energy and passion for everything she does. She gives 110% to everything she sets her mind to and it is an honor to see her wearing One Day Soone’s designs.

Rachael loves baking, painting and helping others and has been a fantastic support during my own One Day Soone journey. She is always ready to lend a helping hand, an ear or some of her fabulous baking to get my creative ideas flowing.

Here is Rachael’s own One Day Soone dream of pursuing her passion for helping others…

What is your favourite One Day Soone design?
My round domed pendant from the ‘Hopes & Dreams’ collection. It’s a really pretty necklace and such a versatile design that can be dressed up or down and I receive nice compliments every time I wear it.

What is your ‘One Day Soone’ dream?
My ‘One Day Soone’ dream is to make a more regular commitment to a volunteering role to helping disadvantaged communities in Melbourne, possibly drawing on my experience in project management or through my passions for painting or cooking.

What steps have you and are you taking to achieve your ‘One Day Soone’ dream?
I’ve volunteered at events for the past few years through a Melbourne-based charity m.a.d.woman which has involved evenings working in food preparation and on art projects to support people in need.
I’ve also assisted with food and art-based fund-raising events through my workplace. I get so much out my volunteering experiences and it doesn’t take much time to make a big difference in the lives of others. I’m currently looking at opportunities to make a more regular committment to a volunteering role.

Who is your role model for your ‘One Day Soone’ dream?
My parents!
